Dr. Leyva completed continuing education hours in the Implant Pathway Dental Implant Continuum. She is an active member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
Dr. Leyva moved to Colorado with her fiancé from New York City in July 2020. She grew up in Santa Barbara County, California, and then moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University. She enjoyed an excellent college experience, especially loved college football, and graduated summa cum laude in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Leyva moved to New York City after completing her undergraduate degree to attend dental school at Columbia University. She graduated with honors from Columbia and continued her training at a one-year general practice residency program at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Leyva is experienced in whole-body dental health, emergency dentistry, oral surgery, and surgical implant placement, pediatrics, and especially loves artistic restorative dentistry. She enjoys working with all ages, from infants to seniors. She has traveled to Guatemala and Costa Rica to provide free dental care to young children, and also taught a seminar on geriatric dentistry while attending Columbia. Dr. Leyva continues to refine her skills through ongoing education, completing hundreds of hours of continuing education each year. She is upbeat and warm, treating her patients like family.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Leyva enjoys cooking gourmet meals, traveling, and exploring the great outdoors with her fiancé and their two senior dogs.
