Understanding the Challenges of Before, During and After Restoration for Single Tooth Replacement with Dental Implants and Mastering the Solutions for Restorative Success

Â
The placement and restoration of dental implants into the biologic network of remaining teeth presents numerous challenges. Although the esthetic mimicry of natural teeth may be convincing, the pathway to success may be complex as the implant and abutment are surrounded by a matrix that continually evolves. In addition, the restoration of today may be unsatisfactory or inadequate tomorrow so both the clinician and patient benefit by a restorative workflow that maximizes the quality of the restoration and allows for correction as time passes. By using state of the art technology with which we can access from a digital process or an analog approach, we can partner with our supporting laboratory and provide our patients with an implant crown solution which incorporates function, esthetics, health, durability and … retrievability. This presentation will focus on the challenges we encounter with an implant restoration among natural teeth and will discuss the solutions to provide excellent restoration of implants using the latest technology.
At the conclusion, the attendee will understand:
- The advantages of the digital work flow in providing patient-specific results
- Solutions for dealing with complexities that occur between teeth and implants
- Designing implant crowns for today and the changes brought by tomorrow
