Dr. Ryan M. Jenkins is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant surgeon, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Jenkins is from San Antonio, Texas and attended Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the May’s Business School in 2004. Afterward, Dr. Jenkins furthered his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2010. Following dental school, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Lutheran Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center in Brooklyn, New York, where he received the Resident of the Year Award and the Dr. DiMango Award for Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After his GPR residency, Dr. Jenkins moved to Texas and worked as a general dentist for one year. Realizing his passion for periodontics and dental implants, he returned to New York City to pursue his specialty education in periodontics and implant dentistry, a 3-year program, at NYU Lutheran Dental Medicine. During his residency, Dr. Jenkins conducted a research study utilizing amniotic biologic growth factors in bone regeneration and was awarded the Best Project in Periodontics: Resident’s Research Award Competition. Additionally, Dr. Jenkins has given multiple lectures and presentations in the field of periodontics and dental implants.
