Description: The success of dental implants is influenced by many surgical and restorative factors. This lecture will focus on the restorative factors that affect dental implants. With a greater understanding of these factors, both the surgical and restorative teams can improve the treatment they provide. Additionally, restorative techniques will be discussed to expand the treatment we provide to our patients.
Learning Objectives:
1. Review factors that affect the dental implant restoration.
2. Discuss restorative concepts that lead to improved tissue health.
3. Explore how surgical and restorative techniques complement each other.
Part 2 Lecture Title: Immediate Implant Placement and Provisionalization.
Description: Restoration of a non-restorable anterior tooth is one of the most challenging treatments. Immediate implant placement is one of the best treatment options we can provide for these situations, however, there are specific principles that must be followed. This lecture will discuss the key factors associated with proper implant placement to set us up for success. Following implant placement, a custom-made provisional can be fabricated.
Learning Objectives:
1. Treatment plan for the ideal immediate implant placement.
2. Review clinical steps of immediate implant placement.
3. Understand the options available to provide provisionalization of an immediately placed implant.
