Mark Ludlow, DMD, MS, Prosthodontist

Dr. Mark Ludlow is the Section Head of Implant Dentistry, Digital Dentistry, and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He completed his DMD dental training at the University of Connecticut and received his MS in prosthodontics from the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Ludlow has been involved in various research projects along with product development and alpha/beta testing with numerous dental companies and implant manufacturers. He has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of topics involving surgical implant placement and restoration, guided implant surgery, digital dentistry, and fixed prosthodontics. As a practicing and teaching prosthodontist, Dr. Ludlow’s passion is in the development and integration of digital technology in the practice of everyday implant and restorative dentistry.

Nicholas Egbert, DDS, MDS, Prosthodontist

Dr. Nicholas Luke Egbert received his Bachelors of Science (BS) in Medical Biology at the University of Utah in 2004. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Creighton University in 2008 and a full-time residency in Advanced Surgical Prosthodontics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2011.

During his residency, Dr. Egbert earned his Masters of Dental Science (MDS) verifying the accuracy of CT generated implant guides and evaluating the efficacy of various bone grafting materials. Soon after graduation, Dr. Egbert successfully defended his boards and is board certified by the American College of Prosthodontics (FACP).

He maintains a full-time private practice limited to surgical prosthodontics in Salt Lake City Utah and has attending faculty positions at both the University of Utah Hospital GPR and Roseman Dental School AEGD, an extension of NYU Langone. He enjoys teaching the residents implant surgery, bone grafting and restorative techniques in efforts of elevating the standard of care.

He is the founder and CEO of Implantability, the most comprehensive on-line dental implant surgery and restoration continuing education course and treatment planning software in the world. He lectures regularly to specialty residency programs, study groups and specialty organizations on various dental implant topics.

When not at work, Dr. Egbert enjoys spending time with his wife and children in the mountains skiing, biking, boating and fly fishing.

John Barksdale, DDS, Dentist

Dr. John Barksdale is a graduate of the LSU School of Dentistry and a General Dentist focused on implant and restorative dentistry. He maintains a full-time practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Barksdale completed a two-year residency in surgical and prosthetic implantology at the Misch Implant Institute. He is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Orla implantology and International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Fellow of the Misch Implant Institute, and an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Barksdale also serves as the President of the Louisiana Academy of Continuing Dental Education.

Bach Lee, DDS, MD, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Bach Le completed his specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC where he has been an active faculty member since 2000. Dr. Le has lectured internationally on bone regeneration and dental implant-related surgery and has taught on six continents around the world. He has published extensively in scientific texts and professional peer-review journals. His primary focus has been in the area of hard and soft tissue regeneration for improving esthetic outcomes. He has been a main podium speaker at numerous national organizations including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontists, the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Le was inducted as an Honorary Member of the American College of Prosthodontists in 2014 and is a recipient of the Charles E. English Award in Clinical Science for “the most significant article” published in the Journal of Implant Dentistry for 2008. Dr. Le is a Diplomate of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiologist, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Le holds Fellowship in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He maintains an oral surgery private practice in Whittier, California, and a teaching position at USC school of dentistry.

Dr. Le is married with four children. He enjoys many outdoor activities including tennis, hiking and golf. Dr. Le holds a black belt in Judo and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu, is a competitive Masters swimmer, and enjoys playing the piano. His favorite hobby is spending time with his wife and children.

Daniel Berant, DMD, Periodontist and Orthodontist

Dr. Daniel Berant completed his dental education training at the University of British Columbia, where he received his DMD and was awarded the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry. He completed his unique dual-specialty residency in Periodontics & Dental Implant Surgery and Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Orthodontists and the American Board of Periodontology as well as the Section Editor for Orthodontics in Compendium Magazine. He is an international speaker and currently resides in New York City where he works in private practice.
