PRESENTER: Edward Mills, DDS, Dentist, Atlanta, Georgia
Restoration of the edentulous patient with fixed restorations has the potential for providing the utmost satisfaction both functionally, aesthetically and physiologically for our patients. However, there have been many proposed surgical and prosthetic solutions over the years, confusing clinicians and patients alike. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss surgical and restorative protocols which are biologically additive and predictable for this group of patients.
At the end of the program, participants should be able to:
- Understand diagnosis and treatment planning of the edentulous patient, including the number and position of dental implants.
- Enhance bone formation and soft tissue thickness and biotype through bioengineering and rejuvenation.
- Discuss appropriate long-term restorative material selection for predictable functional outcomes.
